Grade Band Policy
Article I
Purpose
The purpose of this grade band policy is to ensure that the State Charter Schools Commission of
Georgia (SCSC) approves start-up, replication, and expansion charter applications in a manner that
promotes transparency and educational continuity.
Article II
Policy
The SCSC will not approve start-up, replication, or expansion applications that propose partial
grade bands. This policy shall not constrain any school from serving partial grade bands in
accordance with its proposed enrollment plans.
