Ms. Holcomb joined the SCSC staff in July 2013 and previously served as Chief Communications Officer. In this role, Ms. Holcomb directed internal and external agency communications, coordinated outreach efforts and served as a spokesperson for the agency. She has also overseen research and support services to build the capacity of charter schools and grow the charter school pipeline. Prior to joining the SCSC staff, Ms. Holcomb served as Innovation Fund Director in the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement and as Education Policy Advisor to Governor Sonny Perdue. She also worked previously in Governor Perdue's Press Office managing external affairs.
Ms. Holcomb holds bachelor's degrees in journalism and political science from the University of Georgia’s Grady College and School of Public and International Affairs and a master’s degree in public administration from the Andrew Young School of Policy at Georgia State University. She resides in Marietta with her husband and two children.
