Research & Evaluation Reports

The SCSC maintains a robust research agenda to assist the charter sector in tackling common challenges and disseminate best practices to improve student outcomes.

Research Reports

The SCSC works internally and with external research institutions to conduct in-depth investigations on a variety of topics related to charter schools. Such research seeks to fulfill two of the SCSC’s principal obligations- to develop and promote best practices to encourage the development of high-quality charter schools and to promote high standards of accountability for state charter schools.

Evaluation Reports

The SCSC evaluates and reports on the effectiveness of the support programs it offers to state charter schools. Although each program has unique goals and desired outcomes, two overarching goals are analyzed for each program. 1) Is the program providing support that state charter schools feel is needed and effective, and 2) is the program stewarding state dollars responsibly by implementing a program that operates efficiently?
