CCA Employment Verification
Cherokee Charter Academy (CCA) ceased operations on June 30, 2024.
The school’s charter contract required that should the school cease operation for any reason, the school’s governing board is responsible for concluding the business and affairs of the charter school. However, the CCA board determined upon closure that it was unable to grant future record or verification requests.
Until a more permanent solution is identified, the State Charter Schools Commission of Georgia (SCSC) will fulfill records requests related to former CCA students and employees.
If you are an employer needing to verify the employment of a former CCA employee, please fill out the electronic form below.
Requests will be filled within ten (10) business days of being received.
Please note that the SCSC is unable to answer questions regarding the rehiring of employees (e.g., the SCSC cannot answer “Is this employee eligible to be rehired by your organization?”). The SCSC can only verify former CCA employees’ income, dates of employment, and position(s) held at CCA.
