Staffing Toolkit for State Charter Schools
The SCSC partnered with TNTP, formerly known as The New Teacher Project, to support state charter schools with teacher staffing and onboarding support. TNTP developed an "electronic toolkit" for state charter schools to assist leaders in identifying, selecting, developing and retaining top talent at schools. These resources are grounded in best practices and have helped schools across the country effectively manage their teacher talent and positively impact student learning in their classrooms. The toolkit is organized by topic and contain guidance on various aspects of the hiring process- from creating a staffing plan to recruiting and selecting candidates, and teacher retention. In addition, recommended action steps are provided along with keys to successful implementation of these action steps and resources to support implementation that can be customized by school.
