Research & Evaluation Reports

The SCSC evaluates and reports on the effectiveness of support programs it offers to state charter schools. Additionally, the SCSC conducts analysis on state charter school performance beyond the measures that are captured in the SCSC accountability tool- the Comprehensive Performance Framework. Such evaluations seek to provide greater transparency to stakeholders regarding SCSC operations and school success.

The SCSC works internally and with external research institutions to conduct in-depth investigations on a variety of topics related to charter schools. Such research seeks to fulfill two of the SCSC’s principal obligations- to develop and promote best practices to encourage the development of high-quality charter schools and to promote high standards of accountability for state charter schools.
