FY26 Charter School Application Evaluation Rubrics Now Available

The State Charter Schools Commission (SCSC) and Office of Charter School Compliance (OCSC) released the FY26 Charter School Application (Petition) Evaluation Rubrics, outlining the standards used to assess a petitioner’s capacity and readiness to operate a high-quality charter school. The rubrics are not exhaustive and may not reflect every factor considered during petition review.

Petitioners are encouraged to review the applicable rubric early in the application process and use it to guide planning and preparation.
