Academic Accountability Overview

The SCSC holds state charter schools academically accountable through two main methods: the annual assessment of the Academic section of the Comprehensive Performance Framework (CPF), and Academic Progress Monitoring when significant concerns arise at any time of the year.

The SCSC annually evaluates state charter schools' academic achievement and growth across the various measures outlined in the CPF.

The SCSC monitors state charter schools throughout the year and may require schools to undergo Academic Progress Monitoring when significant concerns arise about the school's ability to meet the academic expectations outlined in the CPF.
